The Healthcare industry is entering a
period of extraordinary economic, social, technological
and political turmoil. Predictably, the most successful
organizations - those that will emerge the strongest on
the other side of this transformative period - are those
that are positioning themselves now to be where the
industry is headed.
To help you better calibrate
your position of maximum advantage, this year's
ABL Fall Conference speakers and program will help you
identify some of the directional clues, if not the
outright answers, you'll need to
succeed in the years ahead. Our experts will identify the
major developments in their sectors that are likely to
have the greatest impact on healthcare in
California over
the next five years - and
why. Then,
working in groups, you'll discuss with your peers how
you can best
position your healthcare organization for the exciting
times ahead.
We strongly encourage all ABL Members
to take advantage of this special program on such a timely
subject, and wish to extend a special invitation to each
Member to bring a Board Member or a Member of your
Executive Team as your guest (see Registration below).

"Public, Payor, &
Provider Issues: My Predictions on What to Expect" |
|
Duane Dauner
President and CEO
California Hospital Association - calhealth.org
National healthcare leader, author, and policy advocate nonpareil,
Duane is the perfect person to help us understand the major program
and policy battles taking place in healthcare today - and the
potential changes that may very well emerge tomorrow.
Applying his tremendous analytical insight and thoughtful
interpretation to the major issues we face, we’ve asked Duane to
give us an off-the-record private briefing addressing these
matters - particularly his unvarnished assessment of what's
really driving these issues: the politics, the personalities, as
well as the economic and demographic trends of these program
realities. |

"The Transformative Impact & Implications
of Healthcare Going Digital" |
Lori Hack
Former Interim CEO
CalRHIO - calrhio.org
Enormous bets are being placed on the promise of the transformative
impact of information technology in healthcare. Regional
Healthcare Information Organizations (RHIOs) have been started all
across the country enabling the electronic linkage of all the key
players. Locally in California, CalRHIO is similarly gearing up to
bring the power of digital to all components of the healthcare
scene. As the former Interim CEO and now the Government Relations
and Policy Director of CalRHIO, no one is better able to envision
and speak to the issues, the impacts, and the potential implications
for you of these dynamic developments. Come hear how and why
she expects developments in information technology to change the
future of healthcare in California and this country. |
