call for 2010 Nominations

Submit a "Nominee Suggestion" for the 2010 Innovations in Healthcaresm ABBY Awards
Please note that filling out this form does not complete the nomination process.  All "suggested nominees" will need to fill out the "2010 Nomination Application Packet" to complete the nomination process. We will follow up with each of the nominated suggestions, but we recommend you alert your suggested nominee (the Executive and their Business Development and/or PR Department) of your submittal as well, as only they will be able to complete the Nomination Application Packet.

1. All nominations must be submitted by 5pm on Friday, January 15, 2010!

2. The company CEO or Division Head responsible for the Innovation, must approve the content of the Nomination Application Packet, and if selected as a 2010 Finalist, they must be available to pre-record a 5-minute "Innovations Finalist Presentation Video" the week of February 15, 2010 at recording studio in Irvine, CA OR  agree create their own video "in-house" and have it submitted to the ABL Organization (via DVD) no later than Friday, February 19, 2010 at 5:00 pm!

In addition, the nominee/Finalist (or top-level executive from the company) must be available to attend the Awards Event on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, in Newport Beach at the Radisson Hotel, to have their picture taken with other ABBY Finalists and accept their Finalist Award, and the ABBY Award should they win.

3. All nominated Companies or their nominated Divisions must have an innovative product, service or application of technology that is already in the marketplace, or an approach to the delivery of healthcare with "success metrics" that prove it is contributing to lowering the cost of quality healthcare.

4. Previously nominated firms/divisions are encouraged to resubmit their nomination for a product, service or approach as long as it is substantially different from an entry that has previously won an ABBY or was a Finalist in 2008 or 2009.
(Please review the "Finalists" and "Past Finalists" Tab at the top of this page.)
5. All qualified nominations will be reviewed in early February 2010 by ABL's Innovations in Healthcaresm Finalist Selection Committee.  Of these, nine will be chosen as Finalists (three in each of the three categories); each Finalist will be asked to accept their "Finalist Award" (and ABBY Award, should they win) at the Awards Event.

6. ABBY Award winners will be determined by secret ballots cast at the Innovations in Healthcaresm Awards Event on April 28, 2010, by all ABL Members who have seen ALL of the Finalists' pre-recorded video presentations in each category.

7. All Finalists agree to allow the ABL Organization to use their "Innovations Finalist Presentation Video" for the marketing and promotion of the ABL Innovations in Healthcaresm ABBY Awards Event.

8. All secret ballots will be counted and tabulated at the Awards Event, who alone will know the ABBY Award Winners, prior to their announcement at the April 28th Innovations in Healthcaresm Awards Event.
