Editors of the respected monthly cited the “excellent modeling capabilities and sleek, practical design" of PODxt Live as deciding factors in bestowing the distinction in the “Effects Processor (hardware)" category to Line 6.

Award winners were announced in the January 2006 issue of Electronic Musician and will be formally awarded at Winter NAMM. The awards are given annually by the publication’s editors, along with a select group of technical authors, to the best new products of the previous 12 months in a variety of categories.

BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC LEADS THE WAY IN GUITAR TECHNOLOGY IN MUSIC EDUCATION

--Berklee teams with Line 6 to equip classrooms with state-of-the-art guitar recording and performance products--

Agoura Hills, CA—January 19, 2006—Berklee College of Music announced today that it has equipped its guitar classrooms, lesson studios, and labs with guitar technology equipment from prominent studio and live music gear manufacturer, Line 6. The partnership signifies the beginning of a long-term vision focused on the advancement of guitar technology and its role in music education. Line 6 specializes in creating “models" of vintage and modern amplifiers and effects, and their new Variax series emulates classic guitars (electric and acoustic), as well as basses.
