THE
CANNERY PROVES INSTRUMENTAL IN VERIZON'S FiOS TV PRESENTATION AT CES
LAS
VEGAS, Nev., - January 5, 2006 - The Cannery, a Los Angeles-based
advanced media and creative services agency, performed the leading role
in developing Verizon's interactive FiOS TV demonstration that premiered
today at the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show. FiOS TV is
Verizon's new all-digital video broadcast service offered over the
company's fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) network.
Delivered by Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg, the presentation demonstrated
the interactivity of FiOS TV through an elegant review of Internet
Protocol Television (IPTV) customized programming options, advanced
commercial applications and interactive features such as personalized
fantasy football alerts, on-screen caller ID and a media management
service that will seamlessly integrate FiOS TV into consumers' home
networks.

FiOS TV provides a direct channel for enhanced digital content such as
high-definition video for currently 3 million subscribers nationwide.
Seidenberg believes the company plans to pass 3 million more by the end
of 2006, covering around 20 percent of its residential customer base.
