NDC Introduces RemoteView

A Powerful Software Display Solution Which Allows Remote Viewing of NDC 8000 Measurement and Control System Screens from any PC with Access to an Internet Connection

IRWINDALE, CA, February 13, 2006 – Keeping a close watch of an application on an NDC 8000 measurement system is no longer restricted to one display at one location in the manufacturing plant. With NDC RemoteView, the application process can be monitored at a remote desk in the factory, at corporate headquarters thousands of miles away or from the convenience of the plant technician’s home computer.

RemoteView is a PC application compatible with Windows™ XP, 2000 or NT. Once up and running, a RemoteView station permits the user all the capabilities of the local operator station, including the ability to change set points, recipes, etc. or to view any process or product screen.

As a result of RemoteView, management personnel can easily get a real time view on plant quality and production performance. Plant maintenance personnel can remotely troubleshoot system problems and often take corrective action without going to the machine / system.

NDC Technical Support can also perform remote troubleshooting from NDC headquarters.

From the RemoteView computer, an individual can not only view 8000 system screens but also can perform system image backup functions.

Using RemoteView is as simple as installing the software, establishing a connection to the IP address of the associated 8000 system and running the RemoteView application.

Remote display resolutions from 640 by 480 up to 1600 by 1200 are available through the application set-up screen.

Current NDC customers with Gold, Silver or Bronze level service contracts automatically receive one free RemoteView disk per site covered under the service contract. For customers not covered by an NDC service contract, or who want to view their 8000 system from additional PC’s, RemoteView is sold on a per-PC basis.
