Independa's CEO Kian Saneii Joins ABL Organization

Santa Ana, CA May 10, 2011 Kian Saneii, CEO of Independa, Inc., has joined the Adaptive Business Leaders Organization (ABL). As part of California’s leading vertical-industry Chief Executives’ Organization, ABL Members provide one another with executive leadership coaching through its confidential, professionally-facilitated, peer-CEO Advisory Board Round Tables, executive learning workshops, network of CEO peers, and expert resources.

Independa, Inc. provides an integrated platform to help caregivers help their loved ones live at home longer, safer and more comfortably. Independa delivers technology-enabled independent living products and services for the rapidly growing population of 50 million family caregivers supporting elderly loved ones. With Independa, caregivers can delay or even eliminate the costly and dreaded move to an assisted- or independent-living facility. Independa has large national channel partners committed to its technology framework and software solutions and boasts a nationally recognized team of elder-care specialists in geriatric medicine and social work.

Products include Smart Calendar, an Internet-based calendar onto which the caregiver can enter all of their loved one’s appointments, engagements, birthdays and anniversaries and Independa then calls the loved one with reminders before each event. Medication Reminders is a similar service, in which Independa places reminder calls to the loved one when it’s time to take their medications. With Independa’s Life Stories product, the caregiver uses the company’s website to call their loved one and can then record the conversation and use discussion prompts developed by Independa’s world-class Elder Care Team. The prompts are designed to help the conversation flow naturally and produce a downloadable recording that the whole family will enjoy for generations to come.

Previously, Kian was General Manager of Websense Wireless, where he was responsible for launching and growing this wholly-owned division of Websense, including developing new carrier-centric technology and product lines, and establishing new global distribution partners. Earlier at Websense, he was VP of Marketing and VP of Business Development. Kian has also held senior roles at AT&T Bell Laboratories, including Senior VP of Worldwide Marketing and Business Development.

Kian earned his BS degree, cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in Computer Science from New York University, where he won the President’s Award, and his MS in Computer Science, with honors, from Rutgers University.

About the Adaptive Business Leaders (ABL) Organization
ABL supports the needs of its Member CEOs by providing a place for top-level executives to draw on the experience, knowledge and skill sets of their peers in a vertical industry, personal advisory board – “multi-coach approach” – setting.

The core component of the CEO Membership experience is the group Round Table meeting. Members meet once a month for a half-day with a group of peer CEOs, Presidents, COOs and Division General Managers from non-competing companies, all from the same industry (healthcare, technology or life sciences), in a trusted and confidential board room-like setting, which allows ABL Members to tackle topics and enhance their decision making and business performance. Topics include: developing and honing new business strategies and best practices, new lines of business, “A-players” on the management team, and an effective board of directors, as well as understanding trends in new markets, mergers and acquisitions, compensation, and other “hot” topics brought to the Round Tables by the Members themselves.

ABL Members also gather several times a year at workshops and conferences to exchange ideas and connect with other chief executives beyond their own CEO peer groups. In effect, ABL Members serve as one another’s business coaches within the Round Tables and are encouraged to connect and leverage their co-Member peers’ particular skills and expertise for additional leadership coaching, one-on-one, outside of their monthly group meeting. In addition, each Round Table’s facilitator also serves as an objective business advisor, offering executive and industry insights and advice.

ABL's Chief Executive Leadership Development Round Table program is currently offered in California's Greater Los Angeles, Orange and San Francisco County areas. More information about the ABL Organization can be found at http://www.abl.org .
