During Mark's tenure as CEO, Satellite has completed more than $200 million in acquisitions of dialysis centers, so that the company now has 50 centers across the country, and $250 million in annual revenues. He has been responsible for incubating and launching all of Satellite's major business lines and has created an environment of creativity and innovation that encourages a strong collaborative approach to business among employees, payers, and Satellite's physician partners. Prior to joining Satellite, Mark co-founded California Kidney Centers, which owned and operated dialysis facilities throughout Southern California and whose eventual sale represented one of the largest U.S. private dialysis transactions ever recorded. Earlier, he worked for Baxter Healthcare in sales and marketing management. Mark holds or has held Board positions with Satellite Healthcare, the Renal Leadership Council, Kidney Care Partners, California Dialysis Council, California Kidney Centers, and Asia Renal Care. He earned his undergraduate degree from San Diego State University and did his graduate work in Business Administration at Chapman University.
About the Adaptive Business Leaders (ABL) Organization The
core component of the CEO Membership experience is the group Round Table
meeting. Members meet once a month for a half-day with a group of peer
CEOs, Presidents, COOs and Division General Managers from non-competing
companies, all from the same industry (healthcare, technology or medical
device), in a trusted and confidential board room-like setting, which
allows ABL Members to tackle topics and enhance their decision making
and business performance. Topics include: developing and honing new
business strategies and best practices, new lines of business,
“A-players” on the management team, and an effective board of directors,
as well as understanding trends in new markets, mergers and
acquisitions, compensation, and other “hot” topics brought to the Round
Tables by the Members themselves. ABL's Chief Executive Leadership Development Round Table program is currently offered in California's Greater Los Angeles, Orange, San Francisco and Santa Clara County areas. More information about the ABL Organization can be found at http://www.abl.org. |
