President's Letter

Welcome to the ABL website! At the ABL Organization we've been helping technology and healthcare leaders grow great companies for over twenty years.

As a leader at the top of your organization, we're here to help solve your ultimate challenge: "What Keeps You Up Nights?" A group of your CEO peers can help you resolve the key issues you face in growing your company and achieving your goals.

No doubt you have a few questions about us, so here’s a brief overview: the Members of the ABL Organization are CEOs and Presidents of healthcare and technology companies who convene monthly in ten separate, industry-specific Round Tables, where they share their expertise and connections with other CEOs in their field. For over 22 years, our Technology Members -- originally known as SO/CAL/TEN -- have been helping each other grow great companies: today in five monthly Round Tables (two in Orange County, the third in the San Gabriel Valley, and the fourth in West LA ).

Over the past 16 years, the Members of ABL's five Healthcare Executives Round Tables (based in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco and Dana Point) have helped each other to maximize opportunities and avoid pitfalls, enabling them to successfully grow their healthcare businesses – while navigating the potentially treacherous regulatory and payer environments unique to healthcare and the life sciences.

In addition to ABL's monthly Round Tables, throughout the year we hold several half-day Conferences that further dimensionalize the value Members receive from the Organization, as they hear first hand from respected, nationally-known industry experts on "cutting-edge" issues of the day. Recent healthcare speakers have included Leonard Schaeffer, CEO of WellPoint; Bob Margolis, MD, NeoForma's founder, Wayne McVicker, and Age Wave’s Bruce Clark, as well as several experts in areas important to our Technology Members. For the past seven years ABL has also celebrated the development of therapeutic, device and process innovations that better enable the timely delivery of quality, cost-effective healthcare, through our annual Innovations in HealthcareSM Event and Awards ceremony.
