ABL FOCUSED WEBINAR

"After the Sale"

This time last year, several ABL Members shared with us they were "headed for the exit." Since then, eight Members have either sold their entire company or a majority position in it. Among them, three - representing sales to a public company, a heavily financed startup, and a private equity firm - have reaped the benefits (and a few thorns) that were on their "Roads to the Exit." During this webinar, you'll hear from each presenter: What's Worked Better (and Worse) Than Expected, and What They'd Do Differently Next Time. They'll also Answer Your Questions about their "processes," because you're bound to have a few!

Bob Richardson is the consummate entrepreneur. Since 1992, he's built six different businesses, the last several of which evolved from BillWise, which provided carrier-grade customer care and billing solutions for cable, cellular, and utility companies. Becoming an expert in billing, Bob applied his tech and marketing savvy to creating VCP, a company that became the leading provider of wellness, chronic disease, and lifestyle membership plans for pets and the leading SaaS solutions in the veterinary market. About a year ago, publicly traded Covetrus, an animal health leader, acquired VCP. Bob is still there.

Sumit Mahendru was a tech savant hired by SAVI Group six years ago to grow the company. Not only did Sumit double SAVI’s revenues and clients served - he did it without adding staff to their operations in the U.S. or India, becoming CEO in the process. Then, last December, Athelas, which monitors the chronically-ill - and had recently raised $132 million from Sequoia, NVIDIA, and YCombinator (at a $1.5 billion valuation), bought SAVI for its Revenue Cycle Management platform, and tapped Sumit to head the new division. Recently Sumit left Athelas making his startup, Abstrakt Health, his full-time focus.

Thomas Leffler was also recruited by the founders to restructure, turnaround, grow, and ultimately position Rivers Edge Pharmacy for a successful sale. During his tenure leading RE Pharmacy, it grew into a major regional specialty pharmacy and infusion services company. RE was licensed in 19 states with 10 infusion centers. Thomas concurrently co-founded a RE sister company with a disruptive telemedicine platform, Next eHealth. His success at RE was facilitated by having turned around several companies in different industries over his career. No wonder he took a break after RE - which is just about to end.
